About Dome of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, Regina

Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan, was founded in 1882 on the open prairie and named in Latin after Queen Victoria. Its Legislative Building, finished in 1912 to plans by the Montreal architects Edward and William Maxwell, is faced with Tyndall stone from Manitoba, full of small fossils, and stands beside Wascana Lake in one of the largest city parks in North America. Regina is also home to the training academy of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where every Mountie in Canada learns the job. This photo, taken from a small island in the lake, shows the copper dome rising above the trees.

Puzzle tip: start with the dome and the columns below it, then the treetops, and finish with the blue sky.
