About Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

The Golden Gate Bridge spans the strait that joins San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean. When it opened in 1937 it was the longest suspension bridge in the world, and its towers rise about 227 metres above the water. Its famous colour, called International Orange, was chosen because it stands out in the fog and blends with the hills of the Marin Headlands behind it.

Puzzle tip: the orange towers and cables are the easiest part; the water and the sky are best sorted by their changing shades of blue.
