About Iceland Northern Lights

The northern lights, or aurora borealis, appear when particles carried from the Sun collide with gases high in Earth's atmosphere, making the sky glow and ripple, most often in green. Iceland lies right beneath the auroral zone, and from about September to April the lights can be seen on clear, dark nights. Here they curl above a small country church far from any town.

Puzzle tip: the little church and its red roof are the easiest pieces to find; build the green ribbons of light from there.
