About Meltwater below the Athabasca Glacier

At the toe of the Athabasca Glacier, meltwater gathers in small pools and streams among rocks left behind by the ice. This water becomes the Sunwapta River, which joins the Athabasca River and eventually flows to the Arctic Ocean. The bare ground near the glacier is only a few decades old, and the first plants and mosses are slowly moving in. Visitors are warned not to walk onto the ice without a guide because of hidden crevasses. In this photo blue meltwater and stones lie in front of the glacier and its mountains.

Puzzle tip: start with the white glacier and peaks, then the blue meltwater, and the stones in the foreground last.
