About Moraine Lake at Sunrise, Banff

Moraine Lake lies in the Valley of the Ten Peaks in Banff National Park, at about 1,885 metres. Like many lakes in the Rockies, it gets its intense blue from rock flour, fine dust ground by glaciers and carried in by meltwater. The view from the Rockpile, a mound of boulders at the end of the lake, once appeared on the back of Canada's twenty-dollar bill. Since 2023 the road to the lake has been open only to shuttle buses. In this photo the first sunlight turns the peaks red above the still water.

Puzzle tip: start with the red peaks and their reflection, then sort the forest and the blue water.
