About Mountain Lake in Kananaskis Country

Kananaskis Country is a group of provincial parks and protected areas covering about 4,000 square kilometres on the eastern slopes of the Rockies, just west of Calgary. It was set up in 1978 as a place where Albertans could hike, camp, fish and ski close to the city. The area hosted the alpine skiing events of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics and, in 2002, a G8 summit. Its lakes, such as Upper and Lower Kananaskis, are ringed by forest and high peaks. In this photo a calm lake lies below the mountains.

Puzzle tip: start with the mountains, then the forest along the shore, and finish with the water.
