About Mundari Cattle Crossing the White Nile

Every morning the Mundari herders of Terekeka, in South Sudan, drive their cattle out of the camp to graze, and where the best grass lies on the other side of the White Nile, the whole herd swims across. Only the long horns and heads of the cattle show above the brown water as they cross, with the herders swimming and wading beside them. In the evening they swim back to the camp. This photo shows a herd crossing the river in a long line of curving horns.

Puzzle tip: start with the cattle heads and their horns in the water, then the far bank and its trees, and the river and the sky last.
