About Nave of the Jesuit Church at Trinidad

La Santísima Trinidad de Paraná, founded in 1706, was one of the Jesuit missions where Guaraní people lived, farmed and worked under the guidance of Jesuit priests. Its great church, designed by the Italian architect Juan Bautista Prímoli and built in red sandstone, was among the largest in the region, and its walls carry a famous carved frieze of angels playing musical instruments. In 1767 the Spanish king expelled the Jesuits, and the mission slowly fell into ruin. This photo looks along the roofless main nave, with a wooden walkway between the stone walls.

Puzzle tip: start with the wooden walkway in the middle, then the red stone walls and arches on both sides.
