About Peyto Lake from Above, Banff

Peyto Lake is seen from a lookout near Bow Summit, the highest point of the Icefields Parkway at about 2,070 metres. From above, many visitors think the lake looks like the head of a wolf. It is named after Bill Peyto, an early mountain guide and later a park warden, who liked to camp nearby. In summer, glacial meltwater full of rock flour gives the lake a milky turquoise colour that changes with the light. This photo looks down on the bright lake winding between forested slopes and mountains.

Puzzle tip: start with the bright turquoise lake, then the forest around it, and finish with the mountains and sky.
