About Rocks and White Sand on Jaco Island

Jaco Island is a low island of uplifted coral limestone, about 11 square kilometres in size, covered with tropical forest and ringed by white beaches. Waves have carved its dark limestone rocks into sharp shapes along the shore. Sea turtles nest on its beaches, and the reefs around it are home to hundreds of kinds of fish and coral. From October to November, whales and dolphins pass through the deep channel to the north of Timor on their migration. This photo shows a rocky point at the edge of a quiet white beach.

Puzzle tip: the dark rock is the clearest shape; the white sand, the water and the sky are best sorted by colour.
