About Rocky Shore at Tofino, Vancouver Island

Tofino lies at the end of the road on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island, facing the open Pacific. The waters around it belong to Clayoquot Sound, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2000, with ancient rain forest of cedar and spruce coming down to the sea. Long sandy beaches nearby, in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, have made the town Canada's best-known surfing spot, and winter storms draw visitors who come to watch the waves. In this long-exposure photo the sea flows softly around a rocky islet topped with trees.

Puzzle tip: start with the islet and its trees, then the dark rocks, and finish with the soft white water.
