About Rooftops of Abeokuta, Ogun State

Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State in southwestern Nigeria, was founded around 1830 by Egba people fleeing the wars of the time. Its name means under the rock, after Olumo Rock, a granite outcrop where they first took shelter. The city is known for adire, cloth dyed in deep blue patterns, and it is the home town of the writer Wole Soyinka, the first African to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. This aerial photo shows a sea of rusty metal roofs between green trees.

Puzzle tip: start with the green trees and the few light roofs, then sort the many rusty brown roofs by their shade.
