About Red Riverside Warehouses of Porvoo

Porvoo, about fifty kilometres east of Helsinki, is one of the oldest towns in Finland, with roots in the Middle Ages. Its best-known sight is the row of wooden shore warehouses along the Porvoo River, painted with red ochre, where merchants once stored goods for ships sailing to Stockholm and beyond. Behind them, narrow cobbled lanes climb past old wooden houses to the medieval cathedral, where in 1809 Tsar Alexander I opened the Diet that made Finland a grand duchy. In this photo the red warehouses and small boats are reflected in the calm river.

Puzzle tip: the red warehouses and their reflections are easy to match; the boats and the grey sky come next.
