About Rooftops of the Fortress of Louisbourg, Nova Scotia

The Fortress of Louisbourg on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, was one of the busiest French towns in North America in the 18th century, a fishing port and naval base guarding the way into New France. Troops from Britain and New England captured it in 1745, it was given back to France three years later, and it fell again in 1758, after which its walls were blown up. From 1961 Canada rebuilt about a quarter of the town on its old foundations, the largest reconstruction of its kind in North America. Here grey shingle roofs and a building with a cone-shaped roof stand in front of the bay.

Puzzle tip: work on the chimneys and the cone-shaped roof first, then the wooden fence and the grass, and finish with the bay behind.
