About Sacré-Cœur and the Carousel, Paris

The Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur crowns the hill of Montmartre, the highest point in Paris. It was built between 1875 and 1914 from a white stone that cleans itself when it rains, which keeps its domes so bright. At the foot of the hill, a colourful old-fashioned carousel with painted horses turns for children and visitors.

Puzzle tip: the painted carousel is full of colour and detail, so begin there; the white domes and the blue sky follow.
