About Saint Joseph's Oratory, Montreal

Saint Joseph's Oratory on the slope of Mount Royal is the largest church in Canada, and its copper dome is one of the biggest in the world. It began in 1904 as a small wooden chapel built by Brother André, the doorkeeper of a nearby college, whom thousands of people visited in hope of healing; he was named a saint in 2010. The great basilica took from 1924 to 1967 to complete. Each year about two million pilgrims and tourists come here, and some climb the central stairs on their knees. In this photo the green dome rises above the trees under a blue sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the green dome and the columns, then the trees, and finish with the blue sky.
