About Sea Stack at Kalaloch Beach, Olympic Coast

Kalaloch is a stretch of wild beaches on the Pacific coast of Olympic National Park. The coast here is protected for more than 100 kilometres, one of the longest undeveloped shorelines in the lower forty-eight states. Sea stacks, pillars of rock left standing as the waves wear back the cliffs, rise from the sand and surf, and huge driftwood logs lie along the beach. At low tide the rocks reveal pools full of starfish and anemones. This photo shows a dark sea stack on the beach below a bright blue sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the dark sea stack against the blue sky, then sort the wet sand from the white surf.
