About The Three Sisters, Blue Mountains

The Three Sisters are three sandstone peaks standing side by side at Echo Point, near Katoomba, about two hours west of Sydney. An Aboriginal legend tells of three sisters who were turned to stone to protect them. The Blue Mountains take their name from the blue haze that hangs over the valleys, caused by tiny drops of oil given off by the eucalyptus forests.

Puzzle tip: the three rock towers are the key; the blue valley in the distance needs patience.
