About Valbona Valley in the Albanian Alps

Valbona Valley lies in the Albanian Alps in the north of the country. A river runs through the valley between forested slopes and high limestone peaks. The protected landscape is known for hiking routes that connect villages and cross mountain passes towards the neighbouring Theth valley. The photograph places the broad valley floor below a long line of rocky mountain summits. The walk over the Valbona Pass to Theth, about six hours long, is one of the most popular hikes in the Balkans.

Puzzle tip: sort the dark forest from the pale rock before filling in the sky.
