About this quiz
Some states are easy to know from their outline, such as Florida, Texas or Michigan with its two peninsulas. Others are almost rectangles: Colorado and Wyoming look very much alike. Every outline is drawn north up, as on the map.
Play ten questions or all 50 states in one go. Your best score stays in this browser, and you can send a friend a link to the same questions.
The states are grouped into four regions, the Northeast, the Midwest, the South and the West, and the wrong answers come from the same region first, so neighbours are easier to mix up.
