Bolivia is a landlocked country in the heart of South America, much of it high in the Andes. Our Bolivia puzzles show the Salar de Uyuni, the coloured lagoons of the south-west and the mountain city of La Paz.

The Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world, covering more than 10,000 square kilometres. In the rainy season a thin layer of water turns it into a giant mirror reflecting the sky, and in its middle rises Isla Incahuasi, a rocky island covered with giant cactuses.
Further south, the high plateau of Sur Lípez is dotted with lagoons coloured red, green and white by algae and minerals, where flamingos feed and llamas graze. La Paz, at about 3,600 metres, is the highest seat of government in the world, overlooked by the snowy peaks of Illimani; cable cars link its steep neighbourhoods, some of them painted in bright colours.
