Vatican City Puzzles
Vatican City is the smallest country in the world, a walled state of less than half a square kilometre inside the city of Rome. It is the home of the Pope and the centre of the Catholic Church. Our Vatican puzzles show St Peter's Basilica and its square, the Vatican Museums and the Vatican Gardens.

About Vatican City
St Peter's Basilica is one of the largest churches in the world. Its great dome was designed by Michelangelo, and it stands above the place where, according to tradition, Saint Peter was buried. In front of it, St Peter's Square is embraced by the curving colonnades of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, where crowds gather to hear the Pope.
Inside the basilica, Michelangelo's dome rises about 136 metres above the floor. The Vatican Museums, begun in 1506, lead through galleries of ancient sculpture to the Sistine Chapel, whose ceiling Michelangelo painted between 1508 and 1512, and out by a famous double spiral staircase. Behind the basilica, the Vatican Gardens cover about half of the country.
