About Viñales Valley, Cuba

In the Viñales Valley in western Cuba, steep, rounded limestone hills called mogotes rise straight out of flat fields of red earth. Farmers here still grow tobacco in the traditional way, ploughing with oxen and drying the leaves in tall wooden barns, and some of the island's best cigar tobacco comes from this region. The valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Puzzle tip: the rounded mogotes form the skyline; the green fields need patience.
