About Seven Mile Beach, Negril

Seven Mile Beach in Negril is one of the longest beaches in Jamaica, a wide curve of soft white sand along the calm water of Long Bay. Until the 1960s Negril was a quiet fishing village reached by a rough road, and building rules still say that no hotel may rise higher than the tallest palm tree. Behind the beach lies the Great Morass, a large wetland.

Puzzle tip: the line between sand and sea runs through the picture; sort the water by its shades of turquoise.
