About Black Sand Beach at Rosalie, Dominica

Most of Dominica's beaches are made of black or grey sand, worn down from the volcanic rock that forms the island. On the Atlantic coast near Rosalie, waves wash over the dark sand and leave lines of orange seaweed along the shore. Dominica has nine potentially active volcanoes, more than almost any other country in the world for its size.

Puzzle tip: the orange seaweed and the white waves are the key; the dark sand needs patience.
