Dominica, not to be confused with the Dominican Republic, is a mountainous island in the eastern Caribbean known as the nature island. Most of it is covered in rainforest, with hot springs, waterfalls and, it is said, a river for every day of the year. Our Dominica puzzles show its waterfalls, a black sand coast and a sperm whale.

Emerald Pool, Dominica
Dominica is volcanic, and its dark beaches, like those around Rosalie Bay, are made of volcanic sand. Deep in the forest, the Emerald Pool is a small grotto where a waterfall pours into a clear green basin.
The deep water off the west coast is one of the few places in the world where sperm whales live all year round. Families of whales can often be seen near the capital, Roseau.
