About Aphrodite's Rock, Cyprus

Petra tou Romiou, better known as Aphrodite's Rock, rises from the sea on the south-west coast of Cyprus, not far from Paphos. According to Greek myth, Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, was born from the sea foam and came ashore in Cyprus, and this stretch of coast is traditionally named as the place. The rocks and the pebble beach are a favourite stop for travellers, especially at sunset.

Puzzle tip: the pale rocks against the smooth blue water are the easiest part; the misty sea and sky blend together, so go slowly.
