About Old Town and Council House, Brașov

Brașov lies in central Romania, surrounded by the southern Carpathian Mountains. Its old town grew around Council Square, a market place used for centuries by traders crossing Transylvania. The former Council House rises above the square with a distinctive tower; it now houses a history museum. From above, the red roofs and pale walls form a dense pattern, while the wooded hills mark the edge of town. In this photograph, the tower and open square are the easiest landmarks to find before fitting together the many roofs.

Puzzle tip: find the square and its tower first; group the surrounding red roofs by shade.
