About Farm among Autumn Hills, Vermont

Vermont is one of the best places for fall foliage in New England: in early October its wooded hills blaze with red, orange and gold, and visitors from all over the world come to see them, a pastime known as leaf peeping. Much of the colour comes from sugar maples, the same trees whose sap is boiled down each spring to make maple syrup: Vermont produces more of it than any other US state. Old farms with red barns, white houses and small ponds dot the valleys between the Green Mountains.

Puzzle tip: the farmhouse and its barn are the key pieces; the colourful hills are best sorted by colour.
