About Peleș Castle, Sinaia

Peleș Castle stands in the Carpathian foothills at Sinaia. King Carol I chose the site for a royal summer residence, and construction began in the 1870s. The building mixes German Renaissance details with towers, timberwork and richly decorated rooms. Today it is a museum, and the mountain setting remains part of its appeal. The photograph shows the castle rising above the surrounding trees. As you build the puzzle, the towers and roof shapes help separate the architecture from the darker forest behind it.

Puzzle tip: assemble the towers and steep roofs first, then work through the trees around them.
