About Château Frontenac, Quebec City

The Château Frontenac is a grand hotel built by the Canadian Pacific Railway on the cliffs above the St Lawrence River in Quebec City. It opened in 1893 and, with its copper roofs and many turrets, it is often described as the most photographed hotel in the world. It stands in Old Quebec, the only walled city north of Mexico, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Puzzle tip: the lit windows and green roofs give plenty to hold on to; the smooth evening sky needs sorting by colour.
