About Kayaking on Lake Minnewanka, Banff

Lake Minnewanka is one of the few lakes in Banff National Park where motorboats are allowed, but kayaks and canoes are the quietest way to explore its long arms and bays. The water stays cold even in summer, so paddlers keep close to the shore. Early people used the valley for thousands of years, and archaeologists have found stone tools along the old shoreline. Mountain goats sometimes appear on the cliffs above. In this photo a kayaker paddles across the blue lake below snow-covered mountains.

Puzzle tip: start with the snowy mountains, then the small kayak, and finish with the waves of the blue lake.
