About Rialto Bridge by Day, Venice

For centuries the Rialto Bridge was the only way to cross the Grand Canal on foot. The stone bridge, designed by Antonio da Ponte and finished in 1591, has a single wide arch high enough for galleys to pass beneath, with two rows of shops along its top. Around it lies the Rialto market, where Venetians have bought fish and vegetables for about a thousand years.

Puzzle tip: the white stone arch is the easiest part; the colourful houses along the canal fill in the sides.
