About Nusfjord in the Snow, Lofoten

Although Lofoten lies far north of the Arctic Circle, its winters are mild for such a latitude, because the warm waters of the Gulf Stream flow along the coast and keep the sea from freezing. That is why the cod come here to spawn from January to April, the busiest time of the year in villages like Nusfjord. Snow covers the mountains and the roofs, but the harbour stays open. In this photo red cabins line the shore of the calm harbour, reflected in the water, below sharp snowy peaks lit by the winter sun.

Puzzle tip: start with the red cabins and their reflections, then the snowy peaks, and finish with the blue sky and the clouds.
