About Henningsvær Harbour in Winter, Lofoten

The harbour of Henningsvær runs like a canal between the islands of the village, sheltered from the open sea. In the great days of the Lofoten fishery, thousands of fishermen came here every winter, and the harbour was packed with boats so tightly that people said you could walk across it from deck to deck. Today fishing boats still unload cod here from January to April, and the village is quiet and white with snow. In this photo a red and white fishing boat lies at a snowy jetty in the still harbour, with white houses and snowy mountains behind.

Puzzle tip: start with the red fishing boat and the jetty, then the houses and the mountains, and finish with the reflections and the sky.
