About Autumn Forest at Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia

The fall colours glow in the sunlight over the forests of Musquodoboit Harbour, on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, about forty-five kilometres east of Halifax. Its name comes from the Mi'kmaq language, and the area is known for its granite hills, quiet beaches and walking trails that climb to lookouts over the woods and the sea. In autumn the red maples and yellow birches stand out among the dark spruces and firs. In this aerial photo a forested ridge glows in the low sun above a wide valley of orange and green trees, with a wooden lookout on a rock in the corner.

Puzzle tip: start with the wooden lookout on the rock and the bright ridge, then the valley, and finish with the pale sky.
