About Dean Village, Edinburgh

Dean Village lies in a deep valley beside the Water of Leith, just a few minutes' walk from the busy centre of Edinburgh. For more than 800 years it was a milling village, with as many as eleven water mills grinding grain. Today its old stone buildings, gabled houses and little bridges make it one of the most peaceful and picturesque corners of the city.

Puzzle tip: the river and the stone buildings on each bank are the easiest parts; the sky comes last.
