In London you can put together Tower Bridge, opened in 1894, the Houses of Parliament with the clock tower known worldwide as Big Ben, which is really the name of its great bell, St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye and a red double-decker bus. The Natural History Museum's Hintze Hall is one of the city's most striking interiors.
Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is built on hills formed by ancient volcanoes. Its castle stands on Castle Rock above the Royal Mile, and Arthur's Seat rises in the park beside the city. The medieval Old Town and the elegant Georgian New Town together form a World Heritage Site.
