About Yurt Camp by Song-Köl Lake

Song-Köl is a high mountain lake at about 3,000 metres in the middle of Kyrgyzstan, almost 30 kilometres long and surrounded by wide grassy plateaus. For about half the year it is frozen and the roads are closed by snow. From June to August, families of herders bring their horses, sheep and cows to these summer pastures, called jailoo, and live in round felt yurts, as Kyrgyz nomads have done for centuries. The crown of the yurt, the tunduk, even appears on the flag of Kyrgyzstan.

Puzzle tip: the white yurts are the clearest shapes; the grassy plain and the sky are best sorted by their shades.
