About Gorica Quarter above the Osum, Berat

Berat stands on the Osum River in southern Albania. Ottoman-era houses climb the slopes on both banks, while a long-inhabited castle occupies the hill above them. The Gorica quarter faces Mangalem across the water and is joined to it by a stone bridge. This aerial photograph follows the river past Gorica and its pale houses towards the green hills. Berat is known as the "city of a thousand windows", because the rows of windows on its hillside houses seem to look out over the river.

Puzzle tip: follow the river first, then group the pale houses by their rooflines.
