About Antwerp Central Station

Antwerp Central Station was built between 1895 and 1905 to a design by the architect Louis Delacenserie, and its grand stone hall with a huge dome has earned it the nickname 'the railway cathedral'. Behind the hall stands a tall iron and glass train shed. At the start of the twenty-first century the station was rebuilt underground as well, so trains now run on three levels, some passing straight through beneath the city. Antwerp Zoo, one of the oldest in the world, is right next door. This photo shows the station's richly decorated stone front.

Puzzle tip: start with the dome and towers against the sky, then fill the stone walls and windows below.
