About Đurđevića Tara Bridge in Autumn

The Đurđevića Tara Bridge spans the Tara Canyon in northern Montenegro, the deepest canyon in Europe, which reaches about 1,300 metres. Finished in 1940, the concrete arch bridge is 365 metres long and stands 172 metres above the river. During the Second World War, in 1942, partisans blew up one of its arches to stop the Italian army, with the help of the engineer Lazar Jauković, who had worked on building it; he was later captured and shot. The bridge was rebuilt in 1946. This photo shows its white arches above the autumn-coloured valley.

Puzzle tip: start with the long white bridge and its arches, then fill the orange and green slopes of the canyon.
