About Limestone Cliffs of Kapa Island, Vava'u

The islands of Vava'u are fringed with steep limestone cliffs, undercut by the waves so that many of them overhang the water. Between July and October, humpback whales come from Antarctica to these warm, sheltered waters to give birth and raise their calves, and Vava'u is one of the few places where people may swim with them. The main town, Neiafu, sits on a deep harbour called the Port of Refuge, a favourite stop for sailing boats crossing the Pacific. This photo shows the green, forested cliffs of Kapa Island rising from the deep blue sea.

Puzzle tip: start with the green trees and the grey cliff below them, then the deep blue sea and the pale sky.
