Tonga Puzzles

Tonga is a kingdom of about 170 islands in the South Pacific, south of Samoa and east of Fiji. Our Tonga puzzles visit the capital, Nuku'alofa, the coral reefs around Tongatapu and the limestone islands of Vava'u.

About Tonga

Tongan chiefs once ruled a sea empire that reached across much of western Polynesia. In the 19th century King George Tupou I united the islands and gave them a constitution, and Tonga never fully lost its independence, even as a British protected state from 1900 to 1970. It is the only island nation in the Pacific with its own king.

You can put together the white wooden Royal Palace by the sea, a small island in the reef north of Tongatapu, a quiet beach on its south coast, and the cliffs and Swallows' Cave of Kapa Island in Vava'u, where humpback whales come to raise their calves.
