About River in the Iwokrama Forest

The Iwokrama Forest covers about 3,700 square kilometres of untouched rainforest in the heart of Guyana. In 1989 the country offered it to the world as a place to show how a forest can be used and protected at the same time, and it is now managed together with the local Makushi communities. A canopy walkway lets visitors walk among the treetops, and the forest is home to jaguars, harpy eagles and hundreds of kinds of birds. This photo shows a wide, calm river with small rocky islands and a long line of forest on the far bank.

Puzzle tip: start with the little islands and the line of trees, then the calm water and its reflections, and the clouds last.
