About Batumi Cathedral

The Cathedral of the Mother of God in Batumi was built between 1898 and 1903 as a Catholic church, paid for by the wealthy Zubalashvili brothers in memory of their mother. It is built in a Neo-Gothic style with a tall pointed bell tower. Closed in Soviet times, it was given to the Georgian Orthodox Church in 1989 and became Batumi's cathedral.

Puzzle tip: the pointed tower is the easiest part; the trees and the sky come next.
