About Yamdrok Lake, Tibet

Yamdrok Lake is one of the three great sacred lakes of Tibet, lying about 4,400 metres above sea level. Its turquoise water winds between bare mountains in the shape of a scorpion, and on clear days the glaciers of the Himalaya can be seen beyond it. Tibetans believe the lake is the home of protective spirits.

Puzzle tip: the turquoise water and the green hills make clear shapes; the sky and clouds come last.
