About The Forbidden City, Beijing

The Forbidden City was the palace of the emperors of China for almost 500 years, from 1420 until 1912. Surrounded by a moat and high walls, it holds hundreds of halls, courtyards and gates with golden roofs and red walls, and ordinary people were not allowed inside. Today it is the Palace Museum, one of the most visited museums in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Puzzle tip: the golden roofs and red walls are easy to sort; the wide stone courtyard comes last.
