About Ethiopian Highlands

Most of Ethiopia sits on a vast highland plateau, much of it more than 2,000 metres above sea level, cut by deep valleys and rising to jagged peaks such as Ras Dashen at 4,550 metres. The cool climate up here made it possible to farm and build cities, and the highlands are sometimes called the roof of Africa. Rare animals such as gelada monkeys, walia ibex and Ethiopian wolves live nowhere else on Earth.

Puzzle tip: the mountain outlines are the clearest shapes; the sky and valleys need patience.
