About Banff Avenue and Cascade Mountain, Alberta

Banff grew up as a stop on the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1880s, after railway workers found hot springs on the slopes of Sulphur Mountain. To protect them, Canada created its first national park here in 1885. Today the little town sits inside Banff National Park, surrounded by the peaks of the Rocky Mountains, and elk sometimes wander through its streets.

Puzzle tip: the big mountain is the key; the shops and the street come next.
